Here's a simple little thing you can do to increase your
bandwidth by at least 20%
Did you know? Windows is silently eating 20% of your
bandwidth i.e., connection bandwidth that the system can reserve. To make an
effective internet usage, do according to the steps given below:
Log on as Administrator.
Start - run - type gpedit.msc
Expand "local computer policy"
Then expand "administrative
templates"
Then expand "network branch"
Highlight/double click the "QoS Packet
Scheduler"
On right window double click "limit
reservable bandwidth"
On setting tab check the "enabled"
Change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0
You're done. It would be a good idea to reboot after
this.
If you enable this setting, you can use the "Bandwidth
limit" box to adjust the amount of bandwidth the system can reserve.
If you disable this setting or do not configure it, the
system uses the default value of 20 percent of the connection.
NOTE: This bandwidth limit is set for a particular
network adapter in the registry, ignored when reconfigure that network
adapter.”
Enjoy!
